KRISTI NOEM FIRED AS SECRETARY OF HOMELAND SECURITY
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem was dismissed by president Trump on Thursday, March 5.
President Donald Trump fired Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Thursday, announcing on social media a new role for Noem within his administration: Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas, a previously non-existent role. The release follows tension with Noem stemming from congressional hearings by republicans regarding spending and controversial public policies.
The administration has announced an intended replacement, Oklahoman Senator Markawayne Mullin.
